Description
The study of the interrelationship of living organisms and the environment. Topics include interactions at the population, community, and ecosystem levels; the study of energy flow and nutrient cycling within these systems. Included also is the study of the geologic, hydrologic, and atmospheric processes involved in the maintenance of life on earth, with emphasis on the importance of human actions to promote sustainability and health of natural processes. Prerequisites: BIO 153, BIO 151.
