Description
This course introduces the study of alcoholism and the wide range of current approaches to treating and preventing it. It surveys the symptoms and effects of alcohol abuse, addiction and introduces leading theoretical models of alcohol addiction. It affords students the opportunity to assess their learning in relation to the phenomena of alcohol abuse and addiction in their communities.
Prerequisites: ENGL 103
