Description
Students will complete a total of 15 hours of observation in an early childhood center, program, or agency; students will keep a journal and observation log which will be signed off on after each observation. Students may assist in planning activities with children. Students who are currently employed in an early childhood center will complete their observations in the center/classroom in which they are employed. This experience is similar to the state requirement of a "Sophmore Experience." Students will be observed in the classroom settings by their supervisor. Students are required to meet the entrance requirements of the Teacher Preparation Program at the completion of this course--specifically submission of the Professional Portfolio with Specialty Internship journals. .
