Description

In this couse the student will learn concepts of early social-emotional growth and socialization in the context of group care, with an emphasis on the development of a nurturing relationship between the infant and caregiver. The importance of responsive caregiving, individualizing care through an understanding of infant temperament, support for the critical role of family and culture and stages of emotional development are also covered.

Prerequisites: ED 213, ECH 223, ECH 233.
