Description
This course is an introduction to academic writing in college. Students will practice the skills and documentation needed for effective academic writing. Emphasis will be placed on the writing process: a well-developed thesis, clarity and coherence, sound development, the ability to realte careful analytical reading to effective writing, and elimination of major grammatical errors. By the end of the course students should be able to express their ideas persuasively and clearly.
Prerequisite: R&W 093 or placement through testing.
