Description

This course is a study of contemporary Native American and Lakota historical development since 1940 with an emphasis on active field research on the social, political and economic aspects of reservation life. It includes thorough examination of the Indian Reorganization Act, Termination, Civil Rights, Indian Religious Freedom Act, and Self-Determination and their effects on contemporary life.
