Description

Students will learn the basic tools of legal research and writing as used in state, federal and tribal courts. The course includes a study of legal terminology, drafting of civil complaints, answers, pre-trial motions, briefs and legal memoranda. Students will utilize Supreme Court opinions at the Tribal, Federal and State levels in researching legal issues.
