In this course an overview of educational programs and instructional strategies centered around developmental issues related to social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of the middle and high school learner. Candidates will examine adolescent curriculum elements including active learning, alternative scheduling, advisory teams, challenging curriculum and interdisciplinary collaboration. Culture influences, with an emphasis on Lakota practices, will also be reviewed.Prerequisties: ED 2133 credits
