Description

This course focuses on United States history, while placing that nation within its international context. It begins with a look at the indigenous people of North America and ends with an examination of the Unites States' place within modern post-Cold War World. This course examines not only traditional history - politics, diplomacy, and wars - but also social, cultural, economic, and demographic patterns, trends, and the everyday life or ordinary people.
