Description
This course focuses on the creation of social policy and on the research and analysis that support social policy. Students develop practical skills for influencing and creating legislation at the tribal, state, and federal levels as they study a variety of policies, including those that impact poverty, income inequality, race relations, health care, employment, and the environment. There is an emphasis on the consideration of social policies as they impact American Indians.
Prerequisite: ENGL 113, SOSC 103
